Uriel Hamra, the 20-year-old Boca Juniors fan who was assaulted by River Plate player Maximiliano Salas, has spoken out after the incident went viral. Hamra stated that the situation was not premeditated and his intention was not to provoke the River players. "I started filming on the field, and just as I did, the River players were passing by from behind. It surprised me, but I understand he was hot and took it out on the first person he saw." Minutes after the incident, he was removed from the field at the request of River's head of security, Diego "La Roca" Moreno. Despite the impact he received, the fan surprisingly defended the player in a conversation with TN: "Salas tried to grab my phone, I don't think he wanted to hit me." Hamra confirmed that he has no plans to take action against the River striker and justified the player's reaction given the emotional context of the match: "I don't think I'll do anything with Salas. It was something fortuitous, I had no intention of mocking him." The young man added that he was able to get in because "there was an open door," which exposed a serious security flaw in the Superclásico operation. According to Clarín newspaper, Justice filed a violation report against Hamra for improperly entering the playing field (Art. 111 of the CABA Contraventional Code) and for inciting disorder (Art. 119). Other fans who entered the field to charge onto the pitch with the traditional "fantasmas de la B" to support Boca also received similar sanctions and are subject to the right of admission. "I didn't do anything out of place," Hamra concluded.
